SOLD OUT!
Spend the morning giving Mother Earth a gift and taking in the benefits of nature and giving a thank-you back. Nature mulches and changes things and it is a reminder that we all eventually go back to the Earth. Life is constantly changing.
Earth Art is made directly from the landscape by sculpting the land into earthworks like mandalas, zig, zags, spirals, altars, balls, columns, and sculptures by using natural materials such as rocks, twigs, leaves, pinecones.
Earth Art is created directly into the landscape. It uses products from the Earth itself and creates something with them. Many of these works of art are made in the landscape and remain there. Earth Art is made to give reciprocity back to the Forest for all the gifts we have received my spending time in its presence. Most Earth Art creations do not survive the test of time. Revisiting Earth Art teaches the viewer an important lesson in the fleetingness of life. What comes from the Earth, goes back to the Earth and nature can mulch it and transform the artwork to her liking.
During this Forest Bathing adventure, we will create Earth Art as a “reciprocity practice”. We will offer our art creations to the forest with gratitude for all the gifts we receive during our encounter with nature. The Earth Art will consist of items we find in the woods such as stones, pinecones, leaves, and sticks. We will close our Earth Art experience with a tea ceremony.
“We often forget that we are nature. Nature is not something separate from us. So, when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.” – Andy Goldsworthy
